Between Israel And The Netherlands

Zyon Ayni is both a citizen of Israel and the Netherlands. Though he was born in Israel, his life between Israel and the Netherlands started at age 6 when he travelled alongside his family for the first time to the Netherlands. Over the next five years, Zyon continued to frequent the Netherlands until he finally decided to leave his studies in Israel and relocate to the Netherlands at 13.

His decision to relocate to the Netherlands is to participate in the family businesses. Over the years, Zyon Ayni discovered his passion for business and entrepreneurship due to his involvement in several businesses at a very tender age. As a young boy, he was in charge of income calculations, expenses management, procurements, and worthwhile purchases.

At 32, he had founded the third-largest restaurant and leisure business empire in Amsterdam, where he employed hundreds of people and created a source of livelihood for dozens of families.

Zyon Ayni’s Life-Changing Moments

Zyon changed the course of his life after an encounter he had in 2010. It was a routine appointment with a dentist in Israel. While waiting for the doctor, he picked a magazine where came across an article detailing the discovery from scientists in the Hebrew University of Israel. The scientists had just discovered a special mechanism that could destroy cells infected with HIV. More so, it was specified in the article that the Hebrew University was also looking for investors who could help develop the discovery into a medicine.

There and then, Zyon Ayni saw the opportunity and decided to pursue it. According to one of Zyon’s previous interviews, the article in the magazine presented him with an opportunity that could change the world. Though many naysayers said it was an impossible fantasy, Zyon never gave up, and he eventually made the investment from his capital. Flash forward to 2014, Zyon founded Code Pharma, and the company launched in collaboration with Professor Abraham Loyter of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
